When we have done the same work for a long time, there are times when we forget the original purpose and keep only the way things have been running. Though we gathered saying that we serve God, before we know it, people’s gain and face may become more important, and only the words that this work must not be stopped may remain. When Jesus entered the temple, there was buying and selling going on continually there. The Lord did not accept it as it was, but spoke of what the temple was a house for. So that we, too, do not continue a wrong thing for the reason that we have been doing it habitually, we must first examine before that word the will in which God delights.
