The Apostle Luke recorded in this Gospel what it will be like when destruction comes upon this world. He said that until the day Noah entered the ark, people ate, drank, married wives, and were given in marriage, and then the flood came and destroyed them all. He also said that it would be as in the days of Lot. He said that at that time, likewise, people ate, drank, bought, sold, and built houses, and then on the very day Lot went out of the land of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them. And the Lord said, “Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:30).
