Let us consider this together on the basis of the word we have read. I want us to live according to this word. This word is what Jesus spoke to His disciples. “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come’” (Luke 19:12–13). He gave this charge, went away, and came back, but it is that among his citizens there were people who said, “We will not have this man to reign over us” (Luke 19:14). This word that the Lord spoke is the word that God actually speaks to us within the church and in this world.
