There are times when, though we feel that God is near when the things we can see are going well, we think that the Lord is far away when the change we expected does not come. When the church grows and people acknowledge it, the kingdom of God seems to have become firm, and when we meet small and weak circumstances, we also feel as if something has gone wrong. But is it all right to measure the kingdom of God only by the outward appearance that we want to confirm?
